Ski Service North London is looking to hire it's third technician as we look to expand across the capital.

Company Description

Established in 2019, Ski Service North London offers high-quality waxing, sharpening, and minor base repair services for both skis and snowboards. We provide a hand service... that means no machines and no base grinding. While our main workshop is located in Barnet, we are the only service provider in the UK to offer a doorstep ski service.

We are a small local business. There is no office. We are looking for a self-starter who is equipped to operate with minimal supervision.

Role Description

This is a contract role for a Ski Service Technician, which is a remote position. The role is part time and you can accept as many jobs as you like. I would ask that you are able to commit minimum 1 day per week to this role throughout the winter. Realistically there would be a an opportunity for this to fill 3 working days during the winter months depending on which area of London you service.

Logistical Requirements (please only apply if you fulfil all of these)

• Based in London or surrounding area

• Own a vehicle which is large enough to carry up to 5 pairs of skis at once

• Own a valid driving licence

• Have a workspace that you can service skis in (ideally a garage)

Skills & Attributes Required

• Maintenance & Repair skills (Waxing, Sharpening & minor base repair via p-tex) - All by hand

• Customer Service skills and Maintenance knowledge

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and remotely

• Eye for detail

• Optional - Technical certification or relevant training

• Love for winter sports

How would this work if I was a successful applicant:

• You would be provided with a set of mobile ski service equipment

• Jobs would would be allocated to you from the owner (me) and you speak with the customer directly through phone or whatsapp

• You would be required to either pick up the skis from the main workshop in Barnet, receive the skis directly from the customer or provide the doorstep service

• Once the job is finished you would either drop the skis back to main workshop or customer

• At the end of the month you invoice for the work you have completed
